Artist Commission Proposals And requirements
Have you thought of buying some of my work but want something a bit more personal? Maybe you wanted a custom size for your bedroom wall or have a subject in mind that you want to see in my style. If so, you are welcome to commission a custom piece from me! Here, I will go over the specific requirements needed for your commission to be accepted.

All commissions will be under contract and a 15% deposit is required before work commences. Once we have agreed on material, pricing, and colour palette, I will create an estimated timeline of when the painting will be completed.

Canvas and Sizing
It is up to you whether you would like the painting to be on stretched canvas, canvas board, panel, cradled wood, or gesso on watercolour paper.

Photo Requirements
If you have your own reference photos, you will need to provide them before I start the commission. If possible, it would be best if multiple are provided with slightly different angles, lighting, and composition. Send me your ideas and I can tell you which one will work best! If you plan on combining multiple references into one painting, such as a subject placed on a different background, you will have to ensure that your references all have similar lighting.
Photo references submitted for your commission must have a decent resolution and proper lighting. Photos with bad lighting and low quality will not translate well into a painting.

Subject Matter
My typical subject matter includes animals, plants, landscapes, and sometimes agricultural buildings such as barns and old sheds. You may propose other subject matter, but I may decline the proposal if I find it does not fit with my usual work.

My only condition is no family portraits. Too many faces.

I as the artist have the right to refuse any commission if it does not fit the requirements or does not resonate with my typical work.
